Pupils at Ranby House have once again impressed judges with their creativity, as a number of entries in this year’s Young Artist Competition, organised by Retford’s Rotary Club, were recognised at the recent awards ceremony.

This year’s theme, ‘Peace & VE Day’, invited young artists to reflect on messages of hope, remembrance and harmony. Ranby House pupils rose to the challenge, producing thoughtful and high-quality pieces across both age categories.

Results:

7–9 Age Category

  • Winners: Abigail & Felicity
  • Runners-up: Isabel & Annie

9–11 Age Category

  • Winner: Pranaya
  • Runners-up: Megan, Ava & Charlotte

A special mention was also given to Felicity in Year 4, whose beautifully designed clock caught the judges’ attention. In recognition of her creativity, her work will be displayed in Retford Town Hall for an entire year – a fantastic honour!

Mrs Hughes, Art and DT Specialist Teacher at Ranby House, said:

"I am immensely proud of the children's efforts for this year's Rotary Club's Young Artist Competition. The quality of the artwork submitted by our students was exceptionally high this year and they should all feel very proud. Well done to all of the winners, runners-up and to everybody that took part in the competition."

Well done to all pupils involved!
