Drama is growing in popularity within the Extra-Curricular Programme in the evenings and at weekends and our annual musicals are fast-becoming the hottest ticket in town.
Our annual 'Night at the Musicals' evening allows a greater number of pupils - including Old Worksopians - to perform solo, duet or group numbers from a broad range of shows. There are also plans for a Junior Production, to give our most talented young performers a chance to shine.
We offer LAMDA classes that prepare pupils for Speech and Drama examinations; and there is an entertaining - and sometimes challenging - theatre trip schedule, taking us to Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, and London for productions such as 'The Curious Incident', 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' or 'Funny Girl', sometimes drawing on the Drama and English Literature curriculum or sometimes just for the sheer pleasure.
