Worksop College had a very special visit from the Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire, Sir John Peace today.
The visit was to present the school with a prestigious award, created by Sir John Peace, to recognise young people who have made a huge contribution to voluntary service.
The award was presented during the College’s Harvest Eucharist Service this morning, and was awarded for the work done as part of the Community Service Programme run by members of the Lower Sixth Form.
Past events also organised by pupils include: ‘Read a Book in a Day’, a 24-hour sponsored row, ‘Santa Run’ and bake sales.
