Worksop Music Concert Series

Run by the College for music-lovers across the region, this concert series is a non-profit venture that provides beautiful and inspiring music at an accessible cost.

Attracting artists from all over the UK and beyond, these concerts also feature home-grown talent from the school’s pupils and staff.

This year there are two professional lunchtime concerts included in this brochure which sit alongside the pupils’ regular Friday lunchtime concert slot; some evening concert times vary too, so do check the start times carefully!

This year’s programme continues the strong spirit of education married with quality and diversity. There will be much to marvel at, from the improvisation skills of John Lenehan as he injects vibrancy and spontaneity into the silent films projected just above our 9’ concert grand piano, to the hilarious all-singing-all-dancing musical comedy cabaret show of Graffiti Classics.

We are proud to continue our association with the world-renowned a cappella group, VOCES8, who’ve been inspiring pupils and audiences alike with their inventive programming and immaculate ensemble since our journey started with them twelve years ago.

There really is something for everyone and we look forward to seeing you in our audience soon.

Piano Recital: Benjamin Frith

Frith quickly established himself as an international concert artist, giving recitals and concerto performances world-wide.

His versatility as soloist, chamber musician and teacher has led to a wide reaching musical career, taking him to many international festivals and collaborating with leading orchestras as well as major figures from the chamber music world.

We are thrilled that he is able to join us with a programme featuring the works of John Field, Mendelssohn and Chopin ahead of his recital tour of Japan. Full programme below:
