  • Worksop College appoint new Head of Sixth Form

  • International Football: making history for Worksopians

    Worksop College sees WCGFA signing play for England - the first international football player in the school's history. Izzy, Year 12, was signed to the Worksop College Girls' Football Academy in September 2022, with a vision to progress her footballing ability alongside studying in the Sixth Form. This has opened a whole host of opportunities for her, including admission into the England Independent School's camp.

  • The Discerning Eye

    Our Chaplain, Father Matthew, has had a painting accepted into The Discerning Eye, a prestigious annual London art exhibition. This will run at the Mall Galleries, London, from 11th-20th November. His work, 'St Lucy the martyr' will be shown alongside the other selected artworks in the exhibition, which have been chosen from over 7000 entries.

  • Prep Project Progress

    From gingerbread Trojan Horses to Black History Month Poetry, last half term's Prep Projects have been a huge success. Each half term, pupils in Year 7 and 8 select a topic to explore from classics, geography, history, R.S, art, computing or whole school events like Black History Month. They are then allocated time to complete their work around a project brief. Some of the most recent projects are shown below. Many pupils completed multiple projects as they couldn't decide on just one!

  • ISA Midlands Junior Swimming Championships

    Late last week, Ranby House swimmers made a splash at the ISA Midlands Junior Swimming Championships. There were a large amount of gold, silver and bronze titles taken by our Ranbians, which was a fantastic achievement! Best of all, there were a number of new swimmers who have now had their first experience swimming for Ranby - they all did very well, were well-behaved and represented Ranby perfectly.   • Epworth Equestrian Centre Show Jumping Competition

    A huge well done to the riders who represented Worksop College and Ranby House at the Epworth Equestrian Centre show jumping competition! They had a great time with some amazing results. The competition was a County Qualifier, and we are please to say that all teams from 70cm - 1m have qualified for Hickstead in May next year - a fabulous achievement.

  • International Week 2022

    The first week in November means one thing - International Week! This week celebrates the rich culture within our school, and is organised by the International Committee. We have had the opportunity to sample a wide variety of food - from paella to bratwurst. To mark the occasion, during assembly, Year 11 pupils Kosi and Nicki, shared their experience as international students at Worksop College.

  • BHM - Injured Fox

    As Black History Month drew to a close, we wanted to round-up the celebrations and commemorations with a showcase of our student's work. Art work, poetry, musical performances, history projects - a whole host of wonderful pieces to reflect the event. We were especially blown away by Kosisochukwu's, Year 11, creative writing. It cleverly and beautifully draws comparisons between the continent of Africa and an injured fox.
